Keith Paul is a marketing and communications executive with over 25 years of experience across higher education and the private sector. His background includes leadership roles in marketing strategy, communications planning, enrollment marketing, and digital transformation. 

In higher education, he has overseen award-winning teams recognized by the National Council for Marketing and Public Relations (NCMPR), the Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE), and the University Professional and Continuing Education Association (UPCEA). He has managed integrated campaigns that supported institutional goals in enrollment, advancement, and public visibility. He has also served in statewide leadership roles, including as chair of the Massachusetts Community College Campus Communicators (MC4) group and as a member of the NCMPR District 1 Executive Council.

At the University of Massachusetts Amherst, he led the institution’s first digital marketing team and supported integration between marketing and advancement efforts. He also coordinated communications for a $5.7 million building project and helped raise $1.5 million in small-dollar donations, a record that still stands at the university. He taught journalism at UMass Amherst for 12 years and later led marketing and recruitment for continuing education at the university.

In corporate roles, he has worked with both startups and Fortune 100 firms in financial services and technology, leading initiatives in digital marketing, social media, customer engagement, and product launch strategy. His contributions have included developing global support models, participating in award-winning product launches, and helping launch the first national professional certification for social media practitioners. Keith was honored as a Thought Leader for such work by Babson College’s Retail Supply Chain Institute.

He holds a Master of Science in Management from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and a bachelor’s degree in sociology from UMass Amherst. Additional academic work includes design theory at the Rhode Island School of Design (RISD) and consumer marketing at Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management.

Certifications include Project Management Professional (PMP), Professional Certified Marketer (PCM), Certified Appreciative Inquiry Facilitator, IDEO’s Human-Centered Strategy certificate, and the FBI-LEEDA Media and Public Relations course. He regularly presents at national conferences and writes for industry publications.
